It Pays to S.H.A.R.E
We have been buying food from SHARE (Self Help and Resource Exchange) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin for the last 8 months.
We have saved nearly $80.00 a week by simply not going to the grocery store two to three times each week. We normally spend between $175 and $200 at SHARE each month and we always have food left over at the end of the month. Our freezer is full and we can help out friends in need. My two best friends have started ordering as well and we see them having to shop less also. It has been such a wonderful experience. Visit www.sharewi.org for more information.
- Economiser Note: SHARE serves almost 200 communities throughout Wisconsin, northern Illinois and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. There are similar programs in communities everywhere, just search for FoodShare (in your state) or other community based food co-ops.

Thanks, Shelley!
Thanks so much to Shelley for this great post about SHARE...it's great to hear about the difference that SHARE is making for your family. Thanks also to AmericasCheapestFamily.com for helping to get the word out!
For over 25 years, SHARE's nonprofit, volunteer-run food buying club has served Wisconsin as well as parts of three surrounding states. Every month over 8,000 families in 200 communities save 30-50% on supermarket quality frozen meats, fresh fruits & vegetables, canned & dry goods, convenience items and more. SHARE's amazing network of over 1,000 dedicated volunteers makes the program possible every month.
SHARE's top priority is always to help families stretch their budgets--something especially important in today's difficult economy. Everyone is welcome to purchase food through SHARE--there are absolutely NO eligibility requirements or income guidelines.
In addition, in Metro Milwaukee SHARE's Mobile Market offers a convenient shopping experience without pre-ordering requirements. We have over a dozen locations that hold Mobile Market sales every month. The savings are the same--30-50% compared to typical supermarket prices. And you get to see the food you're purchasing, just like in a grocery store!
SHARE accepts all forms of payment, including SNAP (food stamp) benefits. Plus now it's easier than ever to shop for SHARE foods by ordering online with credit & debit cards at www.sharewi.org/Order/.
In addition, during the holidays SHARE offers affordable Thanksgiving and Christmas Dinner Packages. Each feeds a family of six with all the delicious fixings for a complete holiday meal. Groups and organizations are welcome to serve their communities during the holidays and all year long through SHARE.
SHARE Wisconsin is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, but we do work with other likeminded affiliate programs around the country. You can find their contact info on the following page of our website: www.sharewi.org/SHAREAffiliates.html.
