Bargain Birthdays

I have a card organizer that I use to sort birthday, anniversary cards etc.

I make a list of all the occasions for the year and make one to two trips per year to the dollar store where they sell cards 2 for $1. This saves me time, it assures that I have cards ready and on hand, and saves a lot in the way of money spent on cards.

I am lucky. My niece makes cards, and usually will give me a variety pack as my xmas gift.
Also, I keep all the fronts of cards I recieve. Use them as scrap paper,to write notes to friends, etc.

Since children are more interested in their gift, I just reuse the front of a card and write a note. Saves on envelopes too! When I do get more than I can use, I donate them to senior center, preschool, charity organization.
