Welcome to AmericasCheapestFamily.com
we're glad you're here!

Welcome MatWe built this web site to encourage everyone who visits, that living frugally isn't a stigma or a life of restrictions to be dreaded, but a lifestyle to be embraced and enjoyed.

We've posted tips from frugal friends around the world, reviews of hundreds of our favorite frugal living books, articles from loads of newspapers, magazines, radio and TV interviews, and a blog that started as a question and answer column in our state wide newspaper. There are also hundreds of articles and recipes that originally appeared in the HomeEconomiser newsletter. These articles are only available to web site subscribers (get more details here).

We also have a section devoted to other web sites of frugal friends and companies where we've found some great deals and saved tons of money. Read our reviews and give them a try. We know that there are so many ways to save money that no one web site can contain them all.

We're still learning more and more ways to save money and work more efficiently. That's another reason (purely selfish on our part) that we created this community. We want to hear how you're saving money and try it ourselves.

There are three levels of access to the web site:

1) Anonymous user - can get to most pages, can subscribe to RSS feeds, but can't leave comments.

2) Registered user - can get to most pages, can leave comments, subscribe to RSS feeds, subscribe to some page updates and purchase products.

3) Subscriber - Access to all pages (including hundreds of full length newsletter articles), can subscribe to RSS feeds, subscribe to page updates, leave comments and can ask Steve & Annette up to four personal finance questions a year . . . and get a personal response.

As a web site subscriber you'll access articles from all 48 back issues and hundreds of articles that we've written (a $96 value) and, special scriber only forms and recipes. Plus you can access the public portion of our web site containing all of our reader tips, hundreds of book reviews, loads of interviews (video, audio and print) and our Q&A blog.

We're always adding content to the web site and are looking for more money saving tips to share with the world. If you have a way to save money that you don't see mentioned, please send it in using our contact form.

So wander around the site or use the search box at the top of every page to find the things you're interested in. Several of the sections (Reader Tips, In The News and Newsletters) have pull down menus with various categories listed to help you search easier.

Anyway you use this site, you're gonna save money, so let’s get going!
