Pam and Bruce Gilbert hosted this fun half hour interview. The setting was very relaxed and comfortable.

Pam and Bruce were gracious and curious about our lifestyle. Beyond that, it was the first time the kids were able to watch the taping of an interview.

The interview was divided into two segments.

The first was, Teaching Kids about Money. We reviewed our feeble attempts to come up with a workable system for training our kids to handle money. We brought out our old styrofoam cups, the 3 container giving bank and finally the tyvek envelopes we currently use. We also discussed our point system for helping the kids work through areas that we have determined are of value for our family. Morning Point, Chore Point, School Point and the Round Up Point (picking up the stuff you left out during the day). This whole system is described in detail in our April 03 issue.

The second segment was Family Traditions. We shared our Turkey shooting tradition and numerous others including: the singing of the Twelve Days of Christmas by Annette's whole extended family and baking pumpkin bread for all the teachers, friends and even the garbage men. The things we discussed are covered in depth in our September 03 issue
