DON’T BUY TEXT BOOKS (1.09)
Hi! I'm a poor college student who really can't afford to spend a lot of money on textbooks. I found this really neat website called Chegg.com which allows you to "rent" your textbooks for the semester for about 1/3 the price of buying it. This is a great option for liberal studies textbooks you “know” you'll never pick up again after the class is over!

Get the ISBN number for the textbook(s) you need and get a quote from Chegg. It may take a few minutes, but if it saves you some cash it's well worth the time.
We researched the company and found that they are legitimate. There are some limits to the books they carry, but it's worth checking out especially if you don't anticipate using the textbook after you graduate. We've read a few comments from students who had problems with Chegg — just like dealing with any large company, do your research, keep your records and call their customer service number (888-992-4344 — phone confirmed 1/2010) if there are any problems.
With books costing between $200 to $800 per semester, reducing your costs by 50 to 60 percent will make a significant dent in your college costs.
Help your college student save money on text books. Renting them eliminates the high cost of buying and the hassle of selling them back.

Textbook Buyback
Unlike other textbook buyback Textbook Buyback comparison websites,Price Books 4 Me prides itself on offering price comparison with only the highest quality vendors with proven track records of successful customer service and reliability. Why sell yourself short when it comes time to sell college textbooks? You invested a lot of money into them so why not get as much money back out of them as possible when it comes time to sell
BUY AND SELL TEXTBOOKS IN A RIGHT TIME AND YOU WILL SAVE MORE
Renting is good. But owning something is always better. Look at buying your textbook like an investment. You can use it as long as you want and you do not have to worry about paying more when you need to extend your rental period. Textbooks are very seasonal. If you plan in advance and buy your books at a low time and sell them when they are in high demand, you will be able to get back up to 80% of what you have paid. In midsummer, demand on textbooks is lowest. They will significantly drop in price. In the middle of the semester, demand is pretty low too.
You should by them online on Amazon.com, Half.com, eBay or other web stores that sell textbooks. I would not recommend buying textbooks in college bookstore since you will be paying a premium even on used textbooks for the convenience of getting a book right now. You should buy a used textbook in very good or like new condition, keep it nice and you will be able to resell it for good money. Try to avoid instructor's editions and never buy books that are marked “not for resale." Most buy back companies will not purchase instructor's editions and all buyback companies will not purchase books marked "not for resale." Some people will try to sell these books to you online for cheaper. If a deal looks too good to be true, you can contact the seller to make sure it is real student edition textbook.
Sell your textbook when it is high in demand - a week or two before the next semester or quarter starts. To get the most money back, sell it online to a buy back company. They will pay to you up to 65% of the current going rate. And if you purchased it in low season, it will work out that you will get 80% or even more of what you bought it for. I sold my textbooks to EagleSaver.com and I have found their payout prices to be excellent. They provided me with a free shipping label that included a tracking number and there were no fees to use their service.

Discount Code for Savings on Textbooks
We just received this email about renting books from Chegg from J. Stawarz.
We read about Chegg.com on your site.
For those of us with children in college, the cost of textbooks is skyrocketing. We love that the company
lets students rent the texts they need each semester and then return them
using a free UPS shipping label. The savings are enormous. The firm also
buys books for a higher price than students will get from their bookstore.
We use Chegg.com to rent textbooks all the time and I have a promotional code
that your readers can use to get a discount on their order. They just put the
code in when ordering and hit the "apply" button. For the next few weeks, the
code will give an 11% discount off an order! After that, users can still use
the code for a 5% discount. The code does not have an expiration date so it
can be used at anytime. Here it is:
