The Bottom Line - Are You Nuts?!?!?!?!?!
It was the week before Thanksgiving and all through the house . . . no, wait a minute, this isn’t a poem, but a story about pecans and the bottom line. However, it WAS the week before Thanksgiving and Annette had scheduled her annual Thanksgiving pie-baking day. She had planned to bake French apple, pecan and chocolate-pudding pies. But she wasn’t prepared for the shocking news about to come her way. The first shock came when she went to the freezer to check on her stash of nuts. Ahhhh! The freezer was devoid of pecans! This was a problem. Our oldest son, John, who had moved out of the house, was coming home for Thanksgiving. Pecan pie is his favorite.
