Northwest Afternoon - KOMO TV Seattle

Interview with Elisa Jaffe and Kent Phillips. The interview was a quick 12 minutes full of audience participation. We discussed topics ranging from food shopping to getting out of debt. One couple in the audience shared that they go to the grocery store every day and spend well over $700 each month to feed a family of four.

Our dear friends, Rick and Chris Greig shared their personal story about how they worked their way out of a business failure and paid off $28,000 worth of debt in a little over two years. They said that, "It was a difficult task" but, "Everything worked out in the end."

Another friend, Sue Winney, asked a teasing question, "Do you guys have any fun?" To which we responded that fun doesn't have to be expensive. Try free recitals at a local college, watching free movies from the library, play board games at home, use coupons for two-for-one dinners, or enjoy some of the many free events listed in your local newspaper. Be creative!

We met several subscribers of the HomeEconomiser newsletter who lived in the area . . . it was terrific!
