This was the book that got us started on our journey to living on a budget in 1981. It is easy to understand and covers the basics of what an economy is and how to put together a family budget that works. We have taken Larry’s suggestions and modified them over the years to better fit our family. Stewardship is a major emphasis of this book. What we have and what we earn aren’t just for us to consume. It is written from a Christian perspective.

We had the privilege of meeting and talking with Larry on two different occasions and came away blessed and encouraged. Larry's writings have had such a profound impact on our lives that we dedicated our first book to his memory.
