Encyclopedia Brown

Leroy Brown is a genius. He’s also the son of the local chief of police. As a result, he loves to find and solve mysteries. Many cases are ones that his dad brings home and has been unable to solve. That is of course, until Leroy gets involved.

Besides solving mysteries for his father, he also runs a neighborhood detective agency out of his garage. For a small fee, he’ll solve any problem that his neighbors bring him.

Each book contains eight to ten mysteries. If you can’t figure out “who did it” by the time you reach the end of the story, you’ll find a section in the back of the book that tells how Encyclopedia Brown solved the case.

Sobol created the Encyclopedia Brown series in 1963 and has penned over 20 additional titles to the series.
