The Dangerous Book For Boys

The Dangerous Book For Boys
Author: Conn and Hal Iggulden

While the title may cause you to wonder if this book is safe, be at peace, it is “mostly safe,” but it is a book for boys who want to grow up to be men . . . it’s not a book for mom’s. The topics are so numerous that we couldn’t list them all here, but rest assured it is a balanced view of a boy’s life from hunting to the Constitution, and girls to the Ten Commandments. Your boys will learn about artillery and how to build a catapult, they’ll learn about the Civil War and how Navajo Code talkers helped defeat the Japanese in World War II. If they want to know how to shoot marbles or make a periscope this book will teach them. It will show your boys how to have fun with out sitting in front of a TV or computer. The only downside of the book is that you’ll have to endure the endless statements of, “Mom or Dad, did you know that . . .” It’s a small price to pay to encourage investigation and creativity in our kids.
